It's also place for you and me to think and share.
As women who believe in Jesus, we are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13.) Each of us has a unique faith and personality that enhances life and brings a richness to the world we live in. We are the salt of the earth. We know our purpose and find joy in it.
But, we also have times we struggle. As single or married women, mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, or disciples, each of us carry burdens that are often quite heavy. We may find ourselves, at times, feeling down, dejected, or even hopeless. That's how Elijah felt in 1 Kings 19:4 when he lay down under a juniper tree and told God he'd had enough.
Life is messy. We run the gamut from elation to devastation, and everywhere in between--sometimes in just one day.
Most likely you've been in both places--times where you feel you've got purpose, that you're making the world a better place. Then there are times when you wonder if the world would be better off without you. Maybe most times you're somewhere in between. In good times and in bad, it's wonderful to have sisters to share it with.
This community is for you. It's for me. It's not about converting or convincing each other we are right. It's about having a place for women of all religions who share a common desire to follow God in joy and in sorrow--together.
We may differ on some doctrinal beliefs, but we are all good women trying to do what we feel is right. Let's set aside our differences and embrace what we have in common as we walk closer to God together. We might even laugh a bit along the way. :)
